Boxer of the year fight off
Every year around the month of April all eyes in the Thailand fight community look towards the annual Thailand Sport awards and the Sportswriters of Thailand boxer of the year award, given to the boxer considered to have performed the best in the year prior. Every so often there arises the chance to have the two closest to getting the award fight off to decide and the stage is set on April the 3rd with a mouth watering clash between this years two favorites, Sam-A Gaiyanghaadao gym and Penek Sitnumnoi.
The main event on a stacked Petyindee promotions fight card sees both do battle at 125 pounds, with the possibility of a large side bet between the two camps, to add to the drama. They met previously back in , with Sam-A winning by KO in the 4th round, but Penek has both grown in size and as a fighter since then and will be desperate to avenge this loss. With such a tough fight for Sam-A, no one can accuse Petyindee promotions of wrapping their star performer in cotton wool in the run up to the awards and many will remember the last time two fighters did battle to win the award, when Petyindee’s boxer that time Singdam Kiatmuu9 was dramatically koed in the 3rd round by Anuwat Kaewsamrit.
