King Bhumibol Muaythai Trophy
As part of the push to get Muaythai accepted in the Olympics, there is a special show being held in Bangkok on the 3rd of April. The show at the Five star Bangkok convention centre sees a Super 4 tournament with fighters from around the world competing to win the Grand prize a special trophy donated by His Majesty the King of Thailand.
The tournament will be ade at 72.5 kilos and the opening bout contested at 3 x 2 minute rounds. The final will be fought over 5 x 2 minute rounds.
Representing Thailand will be Saiyok Pumpanmuang, the multiple champion and Muaythai ambassador. From England will be Challenger runner up Jordan Watson. Representing South Africa will be Vuysile Colossa and the last contestant will be Israel’s Ilya Grad.
The show will be broadcast live on Thai Tv and broadcast around Asia on the Espn and Star networks.
